PHILOSOPHY + METHOD

 At AFO Crossfit our training philosophy is firmly rooted in scientific principles of strength and conditioning. In addition to the science behind our method, our classes aim to make group training fun, interactive and rich in culture. After all, it is our culture that defines who we are! 

Apex Method; our method is simple and highly effective. You simply choose the path that is right for you and allow us to do the rest.

Base

 

 

This option is designed for people who have a desire to be generally physically prepared for any task. With this option you will work on establishing a foundation in quintessential strength movements like squats, deadlifts, presses and rows. All the while working on basic skills such as push-ups, pull-ups, climbs and plyometrics. In addition to strength and gymnastics, we utilize moderate to high intensity daily conditioning workouts to help us recover and aid in body composition. When you put all of these elements together you are left with a controlled environment, which produces measurable and predictable results. Base is the template for our entire gym; we build from it and begin our climb. 

 

CLIMB

 

This option is designed for people who have a desire to be generally physically prepared for any task. APEX

The pinnacle of cross modal athletic development is embodied in our apex option. At this level, athletes will have outstanding relative strength numbers, strong development in moderate level gymnastics skills, and a superior aerobic/anaerobic system. Apex athletes share a passion for competition, their communities, and the development of their peers. In most cases, it will be the will of the apex athlete to compete and have a strong presence in local and regional affiliate fitness events. At this level, it will be easy for the athlete to transition in and out of high-level seasonal sports like weightlifting and GRID league.

No matter which path you choose, at AFO we are here to offer the highest quality coaching and support. All of our group classes are one hour and include warm up / strength or skill / workout of the day (WOD). Although they will not always be in that order, all of these elements will be present in our daily programming. Custom program options are available for any athlete, although you will be limited to our open gym hours to carry out custom programs
